Hi There!
My name is Martine, co-founder of Heavenly Artillerie—and I say co-founder because God Himself is the One who brought this vision to life. I am an economist living in Ottawa, Canada, but above all, I am a daughter of the Most High God.
My Story
Heavenly Artillerie was born from both my love for journals and planners and from my personal experiences. After years of intense studies and working full-time, my body reached its limit. In 2022, I experienced severe burnout that forced me to quit my job. During that season, God began teaching me about rest—a concept that was completely foreign to me at the time. As I slowed down, my eyes were opened to the depth of His love. I came to understand that God did not command the Israelites to honor the Sabbath out of control or obligation, but out of care—to protect them from self-destruction.
I realized that His invitation to rest was still valid today. Not simply taking a weekly day off, but learning to abide in Jesus in every area of life.
Faith and Wellness Journal
In what seemed like an unexpected move, God later led me back to school—despite being unwell and often confined to bed. Through that season, He taught me that healing from burnout does not always require abandoning all responsibility. Instead, He showed me how to build a rhythm of rest while still moving forward. Within months, I experienced healing and not only completed my courses, but went from struggling to eventually helping my classmates.
A few years later, God placed a clear vision on my heart: to create a journal designed to help women slow down, spend intentional time with Him, and care for themselves.
